Skinny Everything Bagels

Here’s the SKINNY on how to make healthy EVERYTHING BAGELS without the infamous Trader Joe’s seasoning.🥯

Confession, I have never had an everything bagel… and I have also never had the “everything bagel” seasoning.

I do not live under a rock I promise.

Ive just never been big on baked goods that sit in plastic bags, bins or in a display all day… (not sorry to paint that picture) …and DIY seasoning is more my style.🙌🏻

MY BAGEL BAKING TIPS:

✔️ Make sure the yogurt substance you use is THICK and CREAMY: @WunderCreamery Quark for the high protein sugar free win

✔️ “Self Rising Flour” does NOT have to be regular unbleached flour, I used a combo of Cashew flour + Cassava flour.

✔️Your dough will look like small crumbles at first, NOT like a ball of dough- keep going.

✔️ If you don’t have a egg wash brush use a small paint brush (brand new ideally haha).

✔️ On the wash note- THIS IS EGG FREE, I use a slight amount of olive oil. 

✔️ DIY EB SEASONING is easy with spices and seeds you most likely already have in your cabinet. 

You can’t go wrong… plus the center of a bagel is always calorie free so why not try it out!? 😉

Thick and soft homemade bagels without the sugar, preservatives or any bs ingredients! Easy, simple and perfect to make into a sammy that is the ultimate BAE-goals!

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Lightly spray a donut or bagel tray.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Mix in quark with a fork,
  5. Lightly dust flour on your work surface and knead the dough until it’s tacky but not sticky.
  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal balls.
  7. Roll each ball into thick ‘ropes’ and form into bagel pan molds.
  8. Use a brush to wet the bagel with the oil or egg white wash and sprinkle over with your seasoning mix.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  10. Carefully removing from the mold and let them completely cool before cutting.
