OK FAM, how did you celebrate National Chocolate Chip day this weekend?!
Weeeeeell two things I was not aware of on Saturday when that holiday popped up:
- Of the holiday in general, shame on me.
- That my body doesn’t do well with 80% of the nut products I consume daily… specifically almonds.
Along with 26 other food sensitivities… if you missed my IG stories of the results- don’t worry more content to come on that topic this week.
SOOOO this weekend I was thankful to celebrate the holiday with BROOKIE PROTEIN BALLS filled with sunflower butter!

Ingredients
- 1 c Sunflower butter* drippy
- 1/2 c Protein Powder vanilla
- 1/4 c Maple Syrup pure
- 2 tbsp Milk of choice
- 1/4 c Chocolate Chips of choice
- 3 tbsp Cacao powder or cocoa

Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together nut butter, maple syrup and milk until smooth.
- Fold in protein powder and chocolate chips.
- Take half the batter and place into a separate bowl.
- Mix in cacao powder to one of the two batter halves.
- Roll 8 balls out of each batter separately.
- Gently roll together one of each to form the balls. Continue until all are combined.
Recipe Notes
*Nut butter can be substituted in as well!
Keep protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
