So no I haven’t gone apple picking in the past two days and no I didn’t snag them from my neighbor’s front lawn… I loaded this baked loaf of heaven with Grandy Oats organic diced apple pieces from the Grandy Pantry!

Healthy Apple Streusel Bread Bars

Nothing says fall like the smells of apple and cinnamon coming from your kitchen! Paleo friendly bread bars lathered with a heathy two ingredient icing to make for the perfect fall bake out of simple pantry ingredients!

Ingredients
  

  • cups Applesauce unsweetened
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ c Nut buter creamy
  • ¼ c Coconut Oil melted
  • ½ c + 2 tbsp Oat flour
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 c Grandy Oat’s Organic Apple Pieces
  • ½ c Grandy Oat’s Organic Walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Lightly spray or line a loaf pan and preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  • In a bowl mix or blend together the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  • Separately whisk together dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Mix the wet batter into the large bowl of dry ingredients.
  • Once well combined pour into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack for about ½ hour before cutting or if desired top with a frosting or icing (see details in notes).

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
*Healthy icing: mix together 1 c Yogurt or Kiefer and 1/4 c Melted coconut oil.
